Conan O’Brien officially announces Bonnaroo’s 2016 lineup

Bonnaroo formally announced its 2016 lineup on Tuesday night’s edition of Conan.

As first reported by Consequence of Sound, Pearl Jam will top this year’s lineup alongside LCD Soundsystem and Dead and Company, the new collaboration featuring members of the Grateful Dead and John Mayer, who will play two sets over the course of the weekend.

Ween, M83, Tame Impala, HAIM, Vince Staples, Miguel, Father John Misty, Death Cab For Cutie, CHVRCHES, Tyler, the Creator, Band of Horses, and comedian/director Judd Apatow, known for films like Anchorman and Trainwreck.

Other highlights include Purity Ring, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Waxahatchee, Natalie Prass, Blood Orange, Daughter, Big Grams (Big Boi and Phantogram), Twin Peaks, St. Lucia, Shamir, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Hundred Waters, Lucius, FIDLAR, and Beach Fossils.

The lineup also features Third Eye Blind, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Ellie Goulding, Zeds Dead, J. Cole, Chris Stapelton, Mavis Staples, Grace Potter, Leon Bridges, Brett Dennen, Two Door Cinema Club, Lamb of God, Dungen, Clutch, Jason Isbell, Lettuce, Lord Huron, Givers, Halsey, Sara Watkins, Sam Bush Band, Flosstradamus, Vulfpeck, Cashmere Cat, X Ambassadors, BØRNS, and something called the Claypool Lennon Delirium.

As Conan himself pointed out, a majority of the lineup leaked onto the Internet last week, but that didn’t stop the late night host from having some fun with the announcement. “Some of that information was leaked online before we could announce it,” Conan explained. “But there is one appearance at this year’s Bonnaroo that no one knows about … I’m thrilled to announce that appearing at Bonnaroo this year, for the first time ever, are flushable toilets!”
