As organizers behind Orlando Calling, Langerado, and UR1 can all attest, holding a Florida music festival is no easy feat (may they all rest in peace). This March, however, Soundslinger, LLC, an independent company founded by Steve Sybesma of Sunshine Promotions and Paul Peck formerly of Bonnaroo promoter Superfly, will look to defy all odds with the staging of the first annual Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival.
Mumford and Sons, Kendrick Lamar, and Skrillex head the inaugural lineup. They’ll be joined by other notable acts including Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, Ween, Hall and Oates, Bassnectar, The Avett Brothers, Miguel, Future, Big Grams (Big Boi and Phantogram), Fetty Wap, Portugal. the Man, Dr. Dog, Deer Tick, Hundred Waters, Jason Isbell, Grace Potter, Youth Lagoon, Booker T. Jones, Shabazz Palaces, Dungen, and more.
Additionally, Miguel will headline this year’s PoWow! alongside as-yet-unannounced special guests. Inspired by Bonnaroo’s Superjam, the PoWow! is Okeechobee’s “signature tradition of thrilling artist collaborations and special performances.”
See the full lineup at Festival Outlook and the official poster is posted below.
Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival takes place March 4th – 6th just north of Florida’s Lake Okeechobee. Three-day and VIP passes are available through the festival’s website.
