In recent months, Rick Ross has taken to doling out a series of random remixes, having already tackled Kanye West’s “Bound 2”, Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home”, Lorde’s “Royals”, and ASAP Ferg’s Work”, among others. Today, he turns the clock back to 2012 and unveils his take on Miguel’s sultry Kaleidoscope Dream single “How Many Drinks”. (Fun fact: Ross is actually remixing a remix, as he jumps on the version featuring a verse from Kendrick Lamar).
Here, Ross slows things down in the name of romance, delivering sound relationship advice (don’t fight, guys and dolls) while promising fast cars and deep pockets for his beloved. It basically amounts to a peacock’s mating call/dance, only with gold suits and talk of yachts instead of feathers and shrill cawing sounds.
