No one does a sex ballad quite like Miguel, and he delivers once again on new song “Come Through and Chill”. The smoky tune was produced by frequent Amy Winehouse collaborator Salaam Remi, and captures all the emotions of the late night booty call. There’s the semi-laziness that keeps you from putting in much more effort than a text (“But since recruiting isn’t an option/ Due to unusual rain and thunder”); then there’s the pleading that this is a rare situation to make the receiver feel special, followed by a bit of uncertainty about whether the message will be positively received. Finally, it comes down to putting “your sweats on for me,” smoking some “green,” and just saying, “I wanna fuck all night.” When Miguel shoots you a midnight text, you answer!
